(1) -longform listening to merge the small and large universes-

-Through the clearing exists quietly. Music to become softly surrounded in. Apparently minimal - small, slow in progression, edge of perception - yet upon immersion (especially in an altered state, or one induced by surrender, slowing the breath, imagining a cool light moving through the body) fields emerge, a vast sweeping expanse. There is space to explore or to let go in, allowing oneself to be carried.

(2) -The abstraction of sound material to discover a new world-

-I recorded about 10 improvisational sessions (and one live performance - track 6) using a combination of mixer and microphone (omni-directional and contact) feedback, two of which were transmuted into published pieces [selwn] and [reqlm], the rest of which were quietly worked with to create a space in which sound becomes thought (becomes image becomes transcendent...etc) The recorder left on...subwoofers, speakers (mirror of infinity - feedback), the ambiance of interior space. All of this becomes abstracted. What is all of it? Can we listen to embrace it all? Through contemplation of the abstract, through expanded awareness of the senses, listening, all becomes imaginary (as it becomes real as it is dissipated...etc). Subtraction processes to dissolve what was, thus bringing in new.
